When you use CompressX, we do not collect or upload your files to the internet. The app operates locally on your macOS device and only accesses the necessary files for compression.
The types of data app obtains when you compress a file and how we use them:
- Input file size
- Input file extension
- Output file size
- Output file extension
- Reduced size
- Compression time
We use these data to build the live data page.
You can opt-out of sharing this data by going to Settings → Advanced → Uncheck "Share anonymous analytics".
Use of Information
The files you select for compression are processed locally on your device. We do not store, transfer, or access your files during or after the compression process. CompressX respects your privacy and ensures that your files remain secure and confidential.
Third-Party Services
We use TelemetryDeck to collect anonymized usage data. This helps us understand how our users are using our app and how we can improve it.
