CompressX 1.6: GIF compression, history, and more
5 Apr, 2024
🌟 New features
Are you tired of large GIF files taking up too much space on your computer? Well, I have some exciting news for you! With the latest update to version 1.6, CompressX now support GIF compression.
Not only that, but I have also added a compression history feature, which can be accessed from the menu or by pressing Command + Y. This allows you to easily keep track of your compression activities and make it easier to manage your files.
Don’t worry, the data is stored only on your device and is never sent to the internet.
✨ Improvements
An improvement I have made is that you can now select video, image, and gif file types together for compression. This makes it more convenient for you to compress all your media files in one go.
When compressing multiple files, CompressX also display the current file’s name to help you keep track of each file being processed.
Lastly, if you want to preserve the creation date of the compressed file, we have added an option for that as well.
To update the app, go to CompressX → Check for updates... or click Check for Updates in the Settings window.
